Title: Implementing Statistical and Data Science Innovative Approaches in Drug Development
Presenters: Gary Cline, AstraZeneca

Abstract:
Current drug development has unprecedented opportunities to benefit from innovative statistical and data science approaches. These approaches are challenging each touchpoint along the drug development pathway from target selection through commercialization. The advances in the size and scope of digital data, insight methodologies and data sources have provided multiple pathways to address each of the touchpoints to provide more beneficial therapies. They are continually optimized to reduce development time, cost and/or probability of success and meaningfulness to patients and physicians. We will review the touchpoints, implementation, methodologies and benefits of many of these innovative approaches.
